The Truth is Out There: An Improvised X-Files

The 90’s phenomenon that was The X-Files is the basis for this improv show performed by the people of Club Soda Improv. Using a suggestion from the audience about an event they can’t explain, the plot is set in motion as Mulder and Scully (Kevin Ramberran and Kerri Wolozsyn, respectively) investigate an incident of paranormal activity. The usual tropes are there: the assorted oddball characters, mysterious events in a small town, cover-ups, Mulder’s drive to prove the paranormal, Scully’s skepticism, and (of course) the underlying tension between them. Any X-Files wonk will enjoy the homage to the show as the rotating cast will prove that the truth is indeed out there. Science fiction nerds will love it too.
